We are starting to see some great contributions emerge from the community of Brightkite users. We recently discovered these two:

Brightkite Blog Sidebar Widget
Kevin Hoyt built a neat flash based sidebar widget.

Brightkite Plugin for WordPress
Richard John wrote a Brightkite plugin for WordPress. Currently it will display your latest checkins, photos, and notes.

    Hmmm, there isn't an API yet right? I'd love to try and get BK working with ExpressionEngine…Maybe I should take a look at the WP plugin.

    Looking forward to see the API released. I'm very excited about BK :) Got a great idea for something that might come in handy! When can we expect the API release?

    No API yet, but you can do a LOT with the RSS feeds!
