Help Us Test the Native Brightkite iPhone App!
We know that everybody (well, at least everybody with an iPhone) has been waiting anxiously for our native app. We are getting closer to a public release, but we didn’t want to keep those of you who just can’t live without it waiting any longer: we are actively looking for Brightkite users who would like to test and give feedback on our native iPhone application via a limited beta test.
Some caveats:
- We can only accept a small number of beta testers, primarily because Apple doesn’t allow more than 100 ad-hoc users for an app.
- The app is not feature-complete yet. This means that there are certain things that won’t work, but the essentials (checking in, posting, reading your stream) are in there.
- The purpose of this beta is to iron out bugs and test usability. Things might change in the app we ultimately release. Keep that in mind.
*Update: We have reached the application limit. Please stay tuned for more information on future opportunities to participate in the iPhone beta.
To apply for the beta, please fill out this form.
If you don’t get in, but want to learn more about the app, we will be hosting a chat session in which you’ll be able to answer questions later this week. Keep an eye on our blog for details.

Also, to keep up on the iPhone app and other Brightkite developments friend us on Brightkite and/or follow us on Twitter.
